8024402C and 80072EFD errors with WinHTTP proxy

Initially all my clients were receiving a 80072EFD error, now
occasionally I receive the 8024402C error.

I used the proxycfg -d command, stopped and started the automatic
updates and it still attempts to access some server that doesn't
exist.

Hi

You receive an "Error 0x80072EE2" or "Error 0x80072EFD" error message when
you try to use Windows Update

If you have Norton Internet Security or something similar installed
(e.g. some 3rd party firewall as mentioned in the article above),
you might need to reconfigure or disable it.
