We queued update 824141 to install on our 2003 servers. When I try to
install the update on the servers, it completes in about 2 seconds and
displays that it installed successfully. When I check my application event
logs, it shows a installation failure event. After install it still shows
that that update is ready to be installed. The update is not a critical one,
so it isn't of major importance that it be installed. We have unselected the
update on our sms server, and restarted the servers with the waiting 824141
update, (which is what microsoft says will stop the update from wanting to be
installed) but that did not stop the update from wanting to be installed.

Does anyone know of a way to turn this waiting update off?
