Oh com on....

vista is not really being used on that many computers....

its being formated, replaced or dual booted with other OS like XP.

This is just a hype-number for the sheeple, and to keep the stock price
high...

Its not exactly a lie... but it is misleading.. by selling vista on a
comptuer does not mean it will remain on it.

You cant get a non vista comptuer in many places, perhaps dell has the power
to get XP still, but in other places- countries all you see is vista
computers... so you are forced to get it, or at least they dont ask you if
you want XP... many people dont know what the differences is between OS
versions and get the new one.
This is logical normally.. but in the case of vista its a horrible mistake
that many have paid for.

Business is business. MS is good at that. It just has forgotten how to make
OS's that are good. lol

I would say that if Vista was running on even half that number it should be
consider to be fortunate as an OS,
since it has so many problems.

What do you think it would do since people are buying XP after they got
Vista on their computer???

This means MS is selling 2 OS's instead of one! lol

MS is brilliant (in selling YES, it just the design of Vista that they have
failed terribly)

Vista is fine, I guess they should put an age warning on the box a bit like
fisher price do to stop kids like
you installing it and fu***** it up, then complaining in the playground
about it.

You can install it some times without many problems.. the problems emerge
later on.

using vista is like hitting nitroglycerin with a hammer.

if you are using it, you are "asking for it"

No I am not talking about me.. I can fix vista whatever happens to it.
I even get a kick out of fixing problems....

But most other people cannot and dislike fiddling with problems.

Here in Australia it's almost impossible to get a laptop with XP

Dell has some and I ordered one and returned it as it can't connect to Wi
Fi, 2 hours help from India no success.

Further I don't think it's attractive to order from via the net from an
overseas outlet , warranty etc.

The Dell I got was only partly loaded with XP and never tested before
shipping, it came from Malaysia!!!!.

I had Vista on 3 computers before all off now and peace in the shop.

I am an investor and Vista can't really handle large data files with 1500
small dir.'s the transfer of it takes a hour and the data get damaged

Monday I get from a shop my Apple Mac and I will run dual Leonard and XP on
it and let's hope the best of it

I understand that many go now for an Apple Mac

Looking back Vista has given me so much problems and it never stops

I fully agree we are the computer operator and we have no time to fix Vista
problems

I also like to fix the problems and at the age of 71 I can fix most of it
but again many like me don't have a computer to play with it all the time
like Mr. DX he's maybe without work and hence it keep him of the street

as for the wi-fi, are you sure its not the drivers or something?

I personally decided to not allow vista on a production machine..

this conclusion came out of trying to use vista as the platform for video
editing...
