hi
in a two-node server cluster of Windows Server 2003, i test the basic clustering behavior. but it doesn't work as i expect. am i wrong in something?:
when i setup NLB once before, the cluster ip was assigned to both NICs. when i pinged the cluster ip by the client (-t), disconnecting either nodes from the network didn't cause any ping lost. the cluster worked as a single server with just one of nodes on.
this doesn't happen with MSCS. just node1's NIC has got the ip of the cluster. so when i disconnect it from the network, the client's pings get lost.
any guidance?
thx
