9600xt update

I downloaded this update today

ATI Technologies, Inc - Video - ASUS RADEON A9600XT

When I booted up after the update I had like maybe 3 colors on my desktop -
I got an error that says my video settings are set to extreme low and when I
try to change it I cant. I reinstalled my ATI drivers several times and the
color went back to almost normal however now in my games (especially Call of
Duty) my frame rates AND graphics quality is greatly reduced??? I was
getting 60-90 FPS prior to the update and now I am lucky if I get 20-30 and
the graphics appear washed out. I cant uninstall the above update because it
doesnt appear in my "Add Remove Programs".

Can anyone help?

If you are using Windows XP, use System Restore and
select a Restore Point that was created prior to the
installation of that particular update.
