Well to add to the list:

Vista Ultima: 2GB RAM, 512 VC, 23in monitor (looking fine baby so like
yeah..so im covered..did all that trouble shooting, followed the directions
like a good girl..but still no Window Aero shows up under Schemes!! I feel
like im taking crazy pills! So..not sure what is the problem. I have had
Vista for awhile now, but never really needed all of that til the cool dream
scene, so I would really appreciate some help, if anybody knew where the
hidden Aero scheme has gone. Thanks for lending an ear

Click Start > type 'Services' > click it > search for Desktop Window Manager
> ensuring that it is running. If that does not work, try refreshing your

Windows Experience Index (WEI):

1. Click Start
2. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, hit enter
3. Click the Update my score link
4. Click Continue on the User Account Control dialog
