Abyone know why the welcome centre does not load?

Been happening for a while now but when you click on the welcome centre on
vista a box opens and just closes again. I have sp1 installed but no joy. any
advice?

Hi Knappster,

You might run a "sfc /scannow" (no quotes) command to see if it can
find and fix any bad system files that may be the cause of this problem.
This tutorial will show you how to if needed.

Thanks for the advice guys.... but problem is i cant access the cmd prompt.
when i right click it to run as admin it closes and refreshes my screen...
also removing some icons from the toolbar. really strange! any ideas...

It sounds like you may have a virus. I would either run a thorough
antivirus and spyware scan to try and clean your computer, or do a clean
install and start over.
