Is there any way to have accelerator keys? For example, mark a message
thread as read instead of right clicking and selecting.

Is there any way to hide message threads that are all read?

Bob,
Some Windows Mail shortcuts are not the same as WLMail shortcuts.

Rob,
Ctrl + Q marks highlighted messages as read.
You said message thread. You can hit the arrow to collapse a thread.

To hide all read messages Alt + V, O, Hide read messages.

Thanks but what I am looking for is a way to do it with one key stroke.

In Thunderbird, I can hit the letter T to mark all messages in the thread as
read.

I can set the view to show threads with unread messages at start up.

These two features make it very easy to manage newsgroup reading.

No but the most important one, F1, works the same. <eg>

Wow! Is that useless or what? It looks like WLMail Help
is getting ahead of the game in MS getting rid of NNTP support.

Anyway, Ctrl-T still works which is what the OP wants.

What is Ctrl-T supposed to do?
It wasn't listed for Windows Mail either.

Have a look at the menus, Ron. The keyboard shortcuts are shown for many of
the commands; Ctrl-T is near the bottom of the Edit menu in the main
window.

No wonder that Ctrl-T function is so obscure. :-)
I dare say most of us use the automatic "Mark message read after
displaying for X seconds" setting.
