Well, I've searched this forum and tried many suggestions, but keep coming up
with problems.

We're a non-profit nature center, and can't afford to replace software like
this, so I'm trying to get our database onto the new Vista computer.
1) When we first loaded access97 it told us that we didn't meet minimum
requirements. We've since gotten around that.
2) We've switched compatability mode and that only got us so far.
3) Now we've got the error message "Object ID 3405: RegOleAu CAH:
OleDllRegisterServer call failed"

Can anyone help with what to try next?

I forgot to mention, we did manage to get a copy loaded at one point, but it
wasn't starting and told us that we had a system error or not enough memory!?!

If you are a genuine charity you could write to Microsoft and ask. I was
sent free, 4 editions of XP Office 2000 so that I could teach. in a charity
setting.

Thanks Ian, we are most definitely a real charity, and I'll give it a shot.
Cheers!

Why would you use something like Access 97 instead of the OpenOffice version
of Access??

If your system can handle Vista, it can handle OpenOffice.

If you can afford Vista, why can't you afford a newer version of Office?
