Weirdest Vista thing yet: I am the only user and the administrator. I can
access all parts of my computer (I think) EXCEPT:
/local settings
/my music
/my pictures
/my videos

These folders are currently empty (I assume. I haven't used them) I can
create and folders and look at everything else on the computer. I just
discovered that "access is deined" (with no other explanation) by accident.

These are not folders, they are called 'Junctions' and they are only there
for backward compatibility for legacy software. These junctions cannot be
opened or used like a normal folder. There is no more "My" anything in
Vista, this term was retired in Vista. It is now just Computer, Documents,
Pictures and etc.

There is a good description of these junctions at the following website.

Why do I get an Access Denied error when trying to open a folder?:

I am soooooo glad! I found "My" folders extremely irritating, even insulting
when they first appeared, and I wasn't the only one! I never used them. Even
though I'm having some trouble with Vista, I'm liking it overall because I
haven't had to jump through 25 hoops yet to trick it out for my business and
accessability issues.
