As this is my first ever post in this forum I would like to say Hi t
everyone.

I used one of the tips here, using Task Scheduler to run programs wit
highest privileges bypassing UAC prompts. I went one step further an
followed another tip and created shortcuts for those programs runnin
with highest privileges in Task Scheduler. Everything was working fin
until last week when I found I had lost the ability to access most o
the administrative tools. I get this message:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may no
have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I was accessing these tools a few weeks ago and I am logged in a
administrator, something went wrong somewhere I just don't know what.
Any ideas

You can login with this one that has more power than the one you are using
and troubleshoot.

This error can be caused by interaction UAC vs non-system firewall -I
know these kind of accident.Disabling firewall is not enough to resolve
it- If you have non-system firewall you have to completly uninstall it
of course in safe mode
