I have just installed Vista.
My problem is that I wish to access the "Local Settings" Folder in
"Documents and Setting" to copy in my backed-up mail files. I was always
able to do this in winXP. But now in Vista, even logged in as administrator,
I cannot access this folder. Any help would be great.

Documents and Settings and Local Settings are not real folders. They are
junctions/symlinks which point legacy applications to the correct folders in
Vista. If you notice, they all have a shortcut arrow on them and are
semi-transparent. In Vista, Users replaces Documents and Settings.

C:\Users\Yourname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

Hi Jane...
Yes, I found that folder but instead of "Local" it says "Local Settings".
BUt it denies me access. I'd like to get into the folder and get the
archive.pst file. It is huge and I'd like to transfer the contents to a DVD
and delete its contents.
ANy help?
Thanks, Tom
