Access email from another pc - not hotmail or live

I am using Live Mail for the email accounts linked to my websites. so they
are not hotmail or live accounts, they are .com and .net. I want to be able
to access my emails when using another pc, but when I sign in I'm told there
are no messages. I have clicked the box to save messages on server until
deleted.
Does anyone have any ideas please?

By Live Mail, do you mean Windows Live Mail?
Are the setup as pop3 accounts?
What do you mean by sign in? Are you using Web access to the email server?

You say "when I sign in I'm told there are no messages."
Where are you signing in, and what is telling you there are no
messages?
It is best to use webmail when accessing your mail from a
location other than your own PC. If your web host doesn't offer
webmail, go to http://mail2web.com.
