Hello,

I like to keep all my messages in one place under my control so I can see
what I posted throughout history.

Therefore it would be nice if Windows Live Mail could access populair web
forum boards like phpbb and that sort of thing.

Then I can post from within outlook express so my messages get stored in
storage folders.

Just like hotmail can be accessed with windows live mail.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Doubtful that will ever occur, WLM is limited to nttp access....but feel
free to send feedback.

fyi: cross posting removed since WLM specific

What does this have to do with php or most of the other newsgroups you
posted to?

Windows Live Mail is a mail and news client, with NNTP, POP3, IMAP, SMTP,
and DeltaSynch protocols available. Unless a web site offers one of those
protocols for access, WLM will not be able to access.

DeltaSynch is an MSFT proprietary protocol, so it is not likely that a web
master will be able to set it up without paying MSFT for an SDK to create
access (assuming MSFT even provides an SDK for DeltaSynch).

And what was with all the cross-posting?

Actually, I've probably been programming longer than you've been alive.

And the question still stands.

Just because Windows is written in C does that mean every Windows
question you have should be posted to a C newsgroup?

Ah, I forgot. Idiots don't understand things like that. They think
they can post anything anywhere.

You've shown your stoopidity. I suggest you shut up before you dig your
hole any deeper.

NOTE: The following *unrelated* newsgroups were omitted in my reply:

alt.comp.lang.borland-delphi
alt.comp.lang.php
alt.php
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

Actually the microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general group is also
unrelated since Skyphuck first asked about Windows Live Mail; however,
he doesn't seem to know which email/nntp client he wants to use.

You're responding to a known troll. If he wants to argue about use of
PHP at a web site, neither WLM or OE are involved so his post is trash.
If he wants to argue about WLM or OE - email/nntp clients - then PHP
isn't involved and his post is still trash. He asks about WLM but then
switches to OE so he can't even make a choice on email/nntp client. He
hasn't bothered to check options for his account at the web-based forums
to see if notification emails can be sent to him. He can't understand
the differences between web (e.g., HTTP) and email (POP/IMAP) protocols
to figure out why one doesn't work with the other. He hasn't a clue
that some forums are operated as mailing lists but then he probably only
visits web-only forums.

Just give up and filter out his posts. You'll be happier in not having
to deal with his bogus queeries.

It's not really a question.
It's a suggestion you fool.

It's posted to these newsgroups so that maybe somebody who is able to
actually do it, or report it to Microsoft or other Software Companies, is
reached and/or inspired to do so ! =D

Consider this original posting an inspiration posting !

Plus ofcourse an indirect question if somebody indeed wants to program it.

Now stop being a bitch, before you even look more like a bitch ! =D

Bye,
Skybuck =D
