ACER ASPIRE 5102 & WLM81

hi,
i have perform a clean install of Windows VISTA Home Premium on a ACER
Aspire 5102 computer ; for more information i have deleted and re-created the
partition table with the custom install of Vista, so VISTA work perfectly.

-step 2- Windows Live Messenger 8.1
I'm downloading the file from this URL :
http://www.windowslive.fr/messenger/default.asp
and put this file to my desktop folder.
Then right clic on the EXE file and left clic on the "run as administrator".
Install seem to be good.

The problem begun here !
WLM81 don't appear on the screen !

I run the "task monitor" to view the process and it is present.

I insert an USB Storage device and WLM appear on the screen !!!
if i don't put a USB Storage device WLM stay running but not working.
Note WLM don't report any error, Vista log have no error, the task manager
don't kill the process.

Do you have an idéa and a fix for this ?

Please see my other posting, all I can say is Welcome to the Club, I've
reinstalled Vista on my Aspire 5100 4 times tried numerous sequences of
installing WLM 8.1, Will not work properly, and Microsoft has no clue for a
fix.

There is a fix on the Acer website.

To the best of my knowledge, this fix only solves the problem of being able
to logon to Windows Live Messenger - I had to install it just to be able to
logon. It does nothing to solve the sound/audio problems when making a video
contact. Both SightSpeed and Skype work, video sound and audio out. I do
have a message from Microsoft telling me to use chat, no video, which does
work. If I wanted to just talk, I wouldn't have got a camera.
