Last week I downloaded via Windows Update something called LOGICOOL software for my Logitech
QuickCam Pro 5000 camera.
The camera is now fully functional in both Vista x86 and Vista x64.

| Logitech just released a new set of software/drivers
| (
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/do...ontentid=12354) for their
quick cam product range.
|
| Either I have been lucky or Logitech sneeked vista compatibility into their
| software, for some reason my OrbiCam now works in Vista RTM. Btw, Vista RTM
| does currently not ship the driver for this cam but via online update it
| downloads the Acer XP drivers, 9.4.4.1041, which gets the camera going. Yet
| to use the camera in Messenger or Skype you need to install the QuickCam
| Software from Software out of the a.m. package.
|
| It is certainly not the most versatile soltiuon, but gets the camera going
| for the time being, until Acer releases the necessary drivers and software.
