I have an IPAQ h3830 that I am trying to connect with Activesync 3.8.

I have the IPAQ plugged in via USB port. Windows recognizes it when I plug
in the USB cable. But when it tries to connect, it tells me "Microsoft
ActiveSync cannot recognize this device..."

When I try "Get Connected" it tells me "Your device was not detected"

Any ideas?

Thanks!

One thought I would have is to ensure you did not connect your iPaq before
you ran the install. If you did, you will need to go to the device manager,
remove the iPaq (HP USB Sync under the Windows CE USB Devices maybe),
disconnect the unit, uninstall AS. I would also reboot at this point, then
re-run the install before connecting the iPaq. The install will prompt you
to do so when it's ready.

I think that's what happened. I did some disconnecting and reconnecting and
it seemed to work ok.

Thanks a bunch!
