Hi Microsoft,
i have used the upgrade advisor to see if my notebook is upgradeable to
Windows Vista, each time i have run the program it says i can [Basic
Edition]. However, this is not the case, i have repeatedly tried to install
RC2 without sucess. it gets so far and then stops, saying error ACPI not
fully compliant. i strongly suggest that you add this check to the upgrade
advisor, or when vista is finally released you may find that you have wrongly
advised people that they can upgrade when in fact they can't. if i had waited
for the retail version i would be stuck with £100 worth of software that
would be useless to me and non refundable,
