Acronis & the Task Scheduler Petard

I set up a task to wake the PC so that Acronis' own "scheduler" could run a
backup task...

Of course, the task only sends a message to the screen... it doesn't run
anything, it's just to wake the PC (no command line facility in Acronis True
Image Home 11.0)

Alas, because it doesn't do anything the PC immediately goes back to
sleep... I can see the task being started at 03:30, but it doesn't complete
until just after I wake the PC manually!

Any ideas how to just "wake" the PC so that it's next sleep is determined by
whatever the Power settings are?

Leave the computer on? Change your stanby settings?
