Can Acronis Backup and MS Backup & Restore BOTH be used on the same computer?

Maybe but seems like belt and suspenders to me. I use Acronis and nothing
else.

Good luck, Rich

Yes, no problem. In fact it's best to use a couple of different backup
methods.

Yes...
but I'd not bother with MS Backup if you have Acronis...
but I guess you can never back up too often

Yes if you're running a bank. I don't think many of us are?

LOL!!!

I have more data on my computer than I have money in the bank.

I use Acronis and I also just burn the data directly to DVD .

MS Backup is something I'd never use...but if someone wants to use it...
that's their choice I guess.

Sure, I run both weekly. With Acronis True Image home I do a full image
once a week and daily incremental images using two external hard drives that
are alternated each week. I also do a Complete PC Backup Image once a week
to a 3rd external drive. It's a good idea to have redundancy. Individual,
important files can be written to CD, DVD or flash drive.

Thanks for your comments. I was concerned about things like confused
archive bits.

Since several credible folks on this group use Acronis, I plan to buy it.
However I still plan to continue using MS Backup & Restore, especially for
the convenience of shadow files. I will backup using MS to an external
drive and using Acronis to DVD. I tend to agree that you cannot back up too
much especially when it can be done automatically.

Jim...

I've had Acronis, Paragon, and Casper running on the same machine (for test
purpose) and they have all worked well. They each have their own way of
doing the job but Acronis is probably the best.
