Action X

I have the latest version of Java installed, yet I can't download the
software to install Webshots screensaver because of a missing Action X. Any
suggestions?

Which version of Windows? (Including SP level- Windows 7, Vista SP1, XP SP2
,etc.
Right-click Computer/My Computer> Properties to obtain this information)

Which version of Internet Explorer? (From IE> Help> About)

What's the exact error message? Are you seeing the Information Bar and the
option to "Click here to install the ActiveX control?"

Don, I finally installed Mozilla/Firefox and was able to install Webshots
screensaver software so problem is mostly solved. Don't know if I like
Firefox, however. Have WinXP Home Edition with SP3 and IE7 and Outlook
Express 6. Yes I get many error msgs and a yellow band at the top of my IE
window but no 'Click here to install ActiveX control. Have latest version
of Java installed. Don't know what brought all this on. As I remember,
late last month I could no longer download pictures from Webshots and even
after Dec 1st same problem.
