Hi, I bought a new computer in China, so the Windows language is Chinese
Language, so I reformat that Windows and change with English Windows Vista..
After installation I activate my windows with my CD Key, yah it's works..
Windows says mine is genuine.. But the problem happen if I restart my
computer, will appear blue screen with message and always auto restart.. Is
it because I install the copy of Vista but input original CD Key?? Help me to
refix my problem, thanks so much..

Probably not, did the machine come with a CD or two with motherboard
drivers on it? Did you reinstall those drivers after reformatting?

What is the message?

Yeah, I reformat all of it, my harddisk is start from blank, and I install
Windows Vista Home Basic English Edition.. I didn't get any CD..

The message says, my computer doesn't have any licensed language.. And I
can't read the other, cause it will be dissapear (auto restart) only in 2
secs..

You have to have Business or Ultimate Vista to change the language.

Hi Danny,

It has nothing to do with the key used for installation. It has everything
to do with the system hardware. Either a component is faulty, or the English
version disk you used does not have a driver that supports a key component
(probably a motherboard driver).

Use the F8 key and choose not to restart on error. Then you can read your
messages. The first one seems quite clear. Your English language version
will not operate with a Chinese key.

I could be wrong, but I think you can not use a Chinese key with an English
installation.

Most likely yes. It fits pretty well with Microsoft's business model and
treatment of customers.
