activation code in use already

i build my nice new computer, open my vista box that has been sitting around
for a long time, and it tells me i need a new code because someone is using
it? help please.

Use the phone activation method, you will need to get someone to assist you
with activation.

If you know you own a legitimate license for Windows Vista, you shouldn't be
concerned about getting it activated again. Just use the phone activation
option and explain the situation and you should be back up and running in no
time.
