Hi there,

I've had an X6800 processor die on me the MB seems fine, does anyone know
will the replacement for it cause problems with the OEM activation?

Many thanks, Tim

You may have to reactivate.
This may require you to do this over the telephone and the automated process
may fail - in that case just stay on the line a person will give you the
activation details you need.
Takes 5 minutes max.

I changed my processor from a Pentium D (dual core)
to a Pentium XE (dual core with hyperthreading) and
had to go through the phone activation to get the
maching running again.
