activation problem

I was given an hp pavillion with xp already on it but I know that it
originally had millinium installed and the original tower casing with the
auth. sticker was changed along with the mother board. so when I try to
activate xp I can't and am tired of having to reinstall every 30 days. Tried
to actvate by phone but says I can't.

I have nothing with you, but I think you are in a wrong newsgroup and for
