I am trying to add an active directory console (MMC) like I had in XP. Is
there an administrative tools that can be downloaded? It was included in SP2
for XP, is there something similar in Vista?

Hope this helps!

Does Microsoft plan on releasing a version that actually works with Vista
without jumping through all of these hoops and then still having missing
tabs, etc?

Sam

The GPOGUY-- Group Policy Blog: GPMC not part of Vista, SP1:
http://sdmsoftware.com/blog/2007/08/...vista_sp1.html

There is no 'official' release date for the RSAT tools, but they have stated
that it will be 'any day now'.

Keep an eye on this webpage for the latest info.

I am patiently waiting for RSAT to arrive; I thought it would by now.
That said, install SP1 on your Vista machines and the W2K3 Admin tools work
just fine. All of the display problems in ADUC are fixed, Terminal Services
Manager works, etc.

In fact, SP1 really does make a difference overall from my experience, even
if it's still slower than XP.
