Warning! Do not mark a partition as active if it does not contain the loader
for an operating system. Doing so will cause your computer to stop working.

Problem is that I have already done it, is the harddisk useless now?
What should I have to do to recover it?
I did it in order to install the second OS on the harddisk, but it didn't
see any harddisk to be install, now I can not go back to the C partition!

Well, yes. That's what "Active" means: bootable. And there can be
only one. It's been this way for many, many years.

No, of course not.

Boot the computer from another disk and remove the "Active" label from
the incorrect partition, and put it where it belongs.

Please, what do you mean "Boot from another disk"?
My PC run on Windows Vista has only one disk with two partitions C and D,
because of some problems, I decided to change the D partition to "active" in
order to install another OS from a CD disk on the D partiton. After loading
the files from the CD for the installation is finished, it came up with
notification that there no hard is found!
Normally I can change the "C" to ACTIVE again through the Diskette Drive,
but nowaday there is no Diskette Drive on the new PC.
What should I have to do fix that, Thanks

Floppy drive, CD, etc. Anything other than the internal hard drive.
