Using Active Sync 4.1, Windows XP Pro (SP2) with Outlook 2003 (SP2).
Everything "works" but I've noticed that the "partnership" leaves Outlook
and Windows Media Player (Version 10) active and running after the mobile
device (hx2490 w/WM5) is removed from the vradle or powered off. There are
no icons on the taskbar but "Processes" in Task Manager are still active.
annoying as prior to Active Sync the applications closed out and freed
processes fine.

I've observed this behavior for several versions of ActiveSync.
