Hi

With my new WM 6.1 Pocket-PC-Phone is a sycronisation not bossible with 2
PC's.
Desktop: Windows XP Pro, Active Sync 4.5, Outlook 2007
Notebook: Windwos Vista Pro, Mobile Center, Outlook 2007
(all Lifeuptates for Windows and Offic are done)

What happens:
First syncronisation works on both PC's, no error is displayed
But Serial Dates on the Laptop are hide in the Calendar of Desktop
Serial Dates on the Desktop are hide in the Calendar of Laptop
On both PC's: The in calendar hided Serialdates are listed in the view "Show
Serial Dates". They exists after Syncronisation on the other PC, but are not
visible in the Calendar!
After edit of a Serialdate that not is showed in the Calendar in the
Serial-Date-List, the syncronisation will fail.

I think, that Active Sync is not compatible with Mobile Center. I tried this
in a new account of both Outlook, without other datas.

Some idea, comment or experience? Does it works, if I replace the Desktop to
a new Vista-System?

Thanks
Urs

Hi,

Sorry but I didn't understand what you meant by serial dates are hidden.
Please provide more details about what you are referring to. If you could
provide the steps you are performing in Outlook 2007, that would also help.

Hi Raj

My english is not so good, sorry, but I will try to explain it. My Windows
is in German, so I must traduce also the menutitles. They can also have an
other name on the English Windows.

To test the problem, I installed on 2 Computers (Notebook and Desktop) a new
Outlook 2007. Whitout emails, dates tasks etc...
Then I installed on Desktop (XP Pro) Active Sync 4.5
On the Notebook (Vista Pro) was installed the Mobile-Devicecenter (Version
6.1.6965) with Windows.
All Lifeupdates are done.

First, I connected my HTC Toch Pro (Windows Mobile 6.1) to the Desktop.
Active Sync works and did the first syncronisation withot datas and without
error.
Then I connected the HTC Touch Pro to the Notebook. The Mobile Center was
working also and did the first syncronisation without datas and withut
error.
Third I reconnected the HTC to the Desktop, Active Sync did his job, no
error (shure, there were no datas on Handy and / or both Outlooks to
syncronise).

Now I addet in Outlook on the Desktop the first date, a Serialdata
(27.12.2008, each year, fullday-date). The syncronisation with HTC was
successfully, the serialdate was stored and also visible on the handy. Then
I connected the HTC to the Notebook. The devicecenter did his job without
error. But there is the first Problem now:

In the Outlook Calendar Views "day, week, month" of the Notebook is no entry
of the serialdate visible. In the same Outlook, in the View "Show
Serialdates", the entry is visible on the list!!!! The syncronisation was
also done, but Outlook can't show the date in the Calendar-Views, only in
the Overview of all Serialdates.

Now, its not possible to edit a serial data on the view, wher is it not
visible (see above). But you can edit this date in the (Over-)View "Show
Serialdates". After an edit, the syncronisation shows an error. Perhaps you
have first to syncronise with the other PC to recive an error. Then y'll
have the error on both PC's.

You can also add a serialdate first on the Laptop. The result is the same on
the Desktop. So I think, that is here an incompatibelity of the both
syncronisations-programms. Or an error in one of these.

Thanks and greetings
Urs

I use a Mac running MacOS10.5.5, and Office12.1.4.
I use MS Entourage for email, calendar, contacts, therefore.

I have an Exchange email account with my ISP. Up until recently i had no
problem in syncronising my contacts, email, and calendar with my Windows
Mobile phone device. My email, contacts, and calendar sync fine on my Apple
laptop, and via a web browser on any other device - including an ipod touch.
But when i sync my Windows Mobile handset, the email and the contacts will
sync, but the calendar will not. It looks like it is syncing and the
progress bar gets near the end, but it will never complete. Also, contacts
will sync from my computer to the server to my mobile, but if i make a
change to a contact on my mobile, it won't sync back to my laptop. (Email,
however, does sync both ways). Bizarre. can anyone offer any advice on how i
can resolve this? I don't know how to find out what version of active sync
my mobile is using, but the problem started in my HTC Tytan and is still
present on my new Palm Teo Pro. The fact that my ipod touch does sync the
calendar suggest to me the problem is with activesync?
