Active Sync with Exchange 2003

We have an Exchange 2000 & Exchange 2003 server. We are
running OWA with SSL (Forms based authentication, with our
own generated certficate)

I am trying to sync my Pocket PC, but keep getting an http
500 error. I searched google and tried all the fixes (NT
authentication, blah)and still doesn't work.

When I http://exchangeserver/oma I get the following
error: Outlook(R) Mobile Access is supported only on
Microsoft(R) Exchange Server 2003. Currently your mailbox
is stored on an older version of Exchange server. Please
contact your system administrator for additional
assistance.

Any ideas
