Active Sync with two laptops

I have two laptops that I need to sync contact information
with.
On my home system, I want ALL categories and associated
contacts to sync with the PPC which they do.

On my work system, I only want three categories and their
associated contacts to sync with my office pc.

I go into active sync, select contact sync settings and
select the categories I want transferred to my office
system.

What happens is they transfer but the process wipes out
the other categories on my PPC and all the contacts
assigned to those categories.

I then have to restore a PPC backup to get my data back on
the PPC.

The category sync in ActiveSync is one-way only - from the desktop to
the device, not from the device to the desktop. You may want to take a
look at IntelliSync (http://www.pumatech.com), which contains advanced
filtering and can filter categories in both directions.
