Activesync 4.1 and imate JasJar connection issues

I have an imate JasJar WM5 with activesync 4.1 and it will not sync with the
USB cable...

the laptop was reloaded 2 weeks ago (due to previous PDA and Outlook issues)
and has been working fine since the reload...
now all of a sudden it will not sync... nothing has changed. windows xp sp 2
standard settings, firewall..

I have checked everything as noted.. anti-virus, firewall, outlook pst
etc...

I'm not an AS log expert, but based on that, I'd verify that you haven't
changed *any* network software on your PC. The error code 0x80072745
indicates "An established connection was aborted by the software in your
host machine. " That suggests to me that a VPN, firewall, virus scanner, or
something of that nature is interfering with network connections that AS
uses.
