i have an O2 XDA IIs WM2003SE and have been expierencing countless problems
with
activesync 4.1

-> when are microsoft going to fix these issues ???

below is the log extract from WCESMgr.log

-> activesync starts.. connecting.. looking for changes.. then stops.. no
errors listed.. just stops.
changes to not connected.. last syn and the date

This is very frustrating.. syncs sometimes.. sometimes not...
any help would be appreciated as this is driving me insane.....
(by the way.. have tired uninstall. reinstall etc.. no difference)

the predominant error in the log is 0x80140009

1. Since you are not running a WM5 device, my suggestion is to revert
to ActiveSync 3.8 - ActiveSync 4.1 provides nothing new to older
devices.

2. If you choose not to revert, or are still having problems, are you
using any firewall software (other than the built-in Windows
Firewall)?

no firewall...expect windows xp firewall.. default settings.. activesync is
in the list.. and it has been working..
the problem is intermittent ....

i use 4.1 because our WM5 devices use it.. and i like to keep everything on
the same platform in our office.
it has been working.. now i get this error.. i haven't been able to sync for
days..
