System: T-Mobile MDA Pro, WM5, ActiveSync 4.1

Webserver SSL certificate is installed on the MDA.
automatic connection to Internet: T-Mobile Internet
automatic connection to private network: Corporate Network

A)
exeptions for intranetadresses: *.domain.de/*
Exchange Server: server.domain.de

Sync MDA with Exchange via USB connection: no problem
Sync MDA with Exchange via GPRS connection: cannot use this connection to
sync (no error code is given)
i can connect via GPRS when i remove the exeption vor intranetadresses but
then the usb connection doesn't work anymore.

B)
exeptions for intranetadresses: NONE
Exchange Server: server (Not FQDN, netbios name)
Sync MDA with Exchange via USB connection: no problem
Sync MDA with Exchange via USB connection: not possible (i doesn't expected
this to work)

Is there something i have missed? the exchange server has the same name from
both the internet in in our corporate network.

Tanks

The excemption of "*.domain.de/*" is telling connection manger that anything
that matches the string does NOT exist on the internet. Typically connection
manager will look for a dot "." in the server's address. If there is a dot,
it will then try to connect to the internet. If there isn't a dot, it will
try to connect to my work's network.

If "server.domain.de" is a server on the internet than the "*.domain.de/*"
needs be more restrictive or not even there.

Try this. Remove "*.domain.de/*" from the exception list and set your server
to the FQDN.

I've found what i need.

After removing the exeption and setting the server name to the FQDN i had to
change one option on my PC ActiveSync. Under connection options i had to say
that this computer is connected to the "internet". Both "automatic" and
"corporate network" didn't function for mq.

Regards

Mark
