I have two Axim x51v (Windows Mobile 5) devices.
On one computer I can sync one device no problem
On the other when I try to sync, I get the following error:
"Synchronization could not be completed. Try again later."
Support Code 80070490

I can't find any references to this support code anywhere (Microsoft, etc).

I have uninstalled and reinstalled AS4.1
I have uninstalled Palm Desktop (from my old device)
I have checked for conduits that were not properly removed.
Windows firewall is set correctly, and I have tried completely turning
off both it and my virus checking software (Grisoft AVG 7.1 SOHO)

Any ideas?

What does it say in the wcesmgr.log and wcescomm.log files, in your
%Temp% directory?

Since this time I have also run Scanpst.exe and tried syncing with a
brand new almost blank outlook.pst file.
I have run Detect & Repair on Outlook.
I am running Outlook 2003 (recently run MS Office updates as well)

By the way, the strangest thing is that it successfully synchronizes
Outlook Notes, but does not synchronize anything else (Calendar, Tasks,
e-mail, etc.).

Still no solution to the problem.

Here is a copy of the files (I only gave you the last bit of WCESMgr.log
because it was really long). ---I'm not sure if they allow attachments
on this newsgroup.

I have now solved the problem---I found the code on
http://groups.google.com/ after searching for "Activesync 80070490"

The solution is to hard reset the device---I suppose that seems an
obvious thing to try, but since most people seem to be having problems
with Activesync, not with their device, I was reluctant to do it,
because it involved figuring out what changes I had made to the device
since it was last synchronized.

Thanks for your time, Rob.

Sorry folks but I can't seem to find this question answered on here.

I put a contact on my UTstarcom data phone (active 4.2 / WinMob5) but it
won't go to my PC.

did I pick the wrong setting in the installation? I want my mobile data to
go to my PC. So PC is main host right?
Thanking you in advance,
Todd
