ActiveSync 4.1 woes

I just got an axim x51v fromDell, and I can sync it at home, but when I bring
it to work (which is where I want to sync really), I cannot do it. I think it
is related to the Sygate Security Agent bocking (I have 4.1 of Sygates sec.
agent). So now I cannot do jack with my machine at work. I cannot sync, I
cannot force allow Sygate (because its sysasmin controlled at my worksite),
so the thing is basically useless to me. Very frustrating.

How can I troubleshoot the problem to determine exactly where the trouble is
coming from? How can I prove it is Sygate or not? I can disable Sygate but I
am not sure it is fully disabled.

I wish Microsoft would have picked a sync technology that wouldnt have been
so faulty. I am reading about lots of bugs and hassle for customers trying to
use this crappy interface.

PLEASE FIX THIS.

Hi,
Certain versions of Sygate require a registry hack to allow you to sync.
