I have ActiveSync 4.5 installed on an XP machine. I'm using a handheld
barcode reader made by Motorola's Symbol division, which uses Pocket PC. The
program we had on the Pocket PC disappeared, so we are trying to re-install
the app. 8 months ago the installation worked fine. Not sure what we did
different.
I'm using a cradle connected to the computer with a serial cable in Com Port
1. When I dock the Pocket PC in the cradle, ActiceSync stars up on both the
handheld and the computer, but fails to connect. To me it looks like it is
timing out. Thought maybe it was the firewall causing it, so I tried a
computer without firewall software. Still could not connect. ActiveSync
doesn't have to many settings to play with, Have tried everything I could
think of but obviously missing.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
