activesync 4.5 install abort

Trying to install activesync 4.5 onto winxp sp3

installer runs then displays a windows reporting "the wizard was interupted
before microsoft activesync 4.5 could be completed insatlled.

pls run setup again

Doing so gets the same result even after a clean bootup.

using fixmapi does not fix anything

Do you have any antivirus, antispyware apps that could be preventing the

I am having exactly the same problenm. I've attempted to install from CD
provided with new LG Incite phone and directly from Microsoft download site.

Same result

I'm running XP home SP3
