ActiveSync 4.5 Takes Forever to Sync

Hello,

I've been using an HTC TyTN with ActiveSync on my XP installation. Im also
using Outlook 2007. At first, I was able to sync very quickly with my
desktop and my laptop. As of late, I've had to do a few resets of my device
and last week I noticed, after a hard reset, it takes FOREVER to synchronize
my calendar items. This happend after an XP automatic update from my
recollection.

Has anyone else run into this issue??

If its going to take 8 hours to synchronize 1500 calendar items, i'd hate to
see what will happen in a year when I have thousands more.

Any help would be great.

Hi,
The initial synchronization will take much longer than subsequent
synchronizations. Some users have reported it taking hours.

Are you using ActiveSync 4.5?

I am indeed using 4.5. I also end up loosing connection with various errors
here and there causing me the need to hard reset my PDA.

Please note, I had no such issues running 4.2.
