ActiveSync 4 problem

I successfully upgraded my Dell Axim X50 to Windows Mobile 5.0 with
ActiveSync 4.

However, everytime I connect the Axim to my laptop, ActiveSync 4 pops up a
window saying "Retrieving Settings..." and stays on forever.

I can still browse the Axim's files from my laptop. I can still use Visual
Studio 2005 to build and transfer application to the Axim to run. But I
cannot use Visual Studio 2005 to connect to the Axim in debug mode. I guess
this is due to the problem with ActiveSync 4.

Anyone knows how to solve this problem?
