Well it looks like media player was the one causing the grieve.
Is there a way to turn on logging in active sync?
Once the link is back up and running, then under options you can find
the list of apps/datasources that are used for sync.
Wopuld be handy if active sync would keep a local copy on the PC that
you could see when the sync process fails.
By switching the apps on one at a time you can get the sync process back
up and running.
