Hi,

I tried to ActiveSync with my office's Exchange server, and got the
following error message:

"You cannot log on to Microsoft Exchange Server because the security
certificate on the server is not valid or expired......."

My office uses Microsoft Small Business Server. How can I go about solving
this problem?

Thanks for any advice!

CQ

do you have a certificate on the server? If not, either buy one from places
like Verisign, or for cost saving create a certificate with the windows
certificate service and put the root certificate onto the device so that it
recognizes your server.

Hi

I also have this problem
We had SBS 2000 and upgraded the server to SBS 2003 and then redid the trust
bewtween the desktop client and the SBS 2003.
Now the ipaq pda wont synchronize with the desktop with an internet_45
error message.
Clearly our server has valid certificates but not the one the ipaq pda is
expecting.
Further to your post please explain how we fix the certificate problem on
the ipaq.
You mentioned creating a certificate on the server and putting it on the
pda.
Is there any other way to fix this problem.? Clearing the device perhaps ?

If not what are the steps to create a certificate on the server and export
it to the pda.?

Thanks
