Activesync and ISA 2004

Hey all,

I have been successfully syncing my Verizon xv6700 with Exchange 2003
OTA with no problems until I installed ISA 2004 on my SBS 2003 SP1
installation.

Now I am getting the 0x85010004 error. The ISA logs indicate an
access denied based the final default rule.

Do I need to change setting on the phone in order to connect again?

I have looked through several groups and seen the responses for
similar occurrences but they have me confused.

Does anyone have expertise in this area? I will gladly look to other
groups if this in not the right one and will follow any
troubleshooting steps that anyone can provide.

Thanks,

James Newman

Hey,

No one wants to take a stab at this? Or I am way off on posting to
this group for this problem?

Thanks,

James Newman

Are you using SSL with Exchange sync? Have you setup a web listener and OWA
access rule in ISA? If you are being denied by the final rule it means that
there's no other rule that enables access.

Eric,

Thank you so much for your reply. I know just enough about ISA 2004
to be dangerous. I have not enabled anything within ISA as I made an
assumption that all communication that existed before ISA would be
there after the installation of ISA.

Does a reference exist that would tell me what I need to set in ISA to
allow the Exchange sync to work again?

Sorry for being so dense on this subject but I am learning as I go.

Thanks again,

James Newman
