Activesync, Dell Axim PDA and IBM T40 disconnection problem.

I support the Dell Axim PDA's around work and I am getting
calls that people are seeing Activesync drop the
connection with the PDA while the PDA is in the cradle. It
is unpredictable when it will occur. But it doesn't pick
up the connection later unless maybe you take it off the
cradle and put it back on. The common threads here are
that both have Dell Axim PDAs, both have IBM T40 laptops
and both are using Activesync 3.7.1. I have checked
through all the possible settings on the PDA and
Activesync settings for the laptop. Nothing jumps out at
me as causing the issue. Both are Pocket PC 2003 loaded
PDAs.

USB on the laptop doesn't have power saving enabled, so
the USB ports should be fine as far as a constant
connection.

I have reloaded Activesync according to to the
instructions, including the reboot part inbetween removal
and reinstall.

I have installed a USB hub to see if it was related to a
slight communication problem between cradle and laptop USB
port.

I have taken some items out of startup that could have
been draining memory/resources.

I have searched Google and Microsoft newsgroups for
anything close to the problem I am seeing with no luck.

I have double checked Activsync settings on the PDA and
all looks fine with that.

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
