New Dell laptop & Handheld PC, setup A/S 4.1 and all syncs ok except the
"Files" folder. Says it cannot sync a certain file, to check the available
memory on the handheld. But when I look in the folder, there are no files
there at all, hidden or otherwise. I dont recall the file name but it the
extension indicates a sound file. Calendar, tasks, all others sync fine. Any
suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi Michael,

Which device are you using? Did you attempt to recreate the partnership?

1. Disconnect the device from the computer.
2. In Activesync -> File -> Delete Partnership.
3. Connect the device and follow the onscreen
instructions to setup a new partnership.

Thanks for the response. It is a Sprint PCS phone with built in handheld pc.
Yes, i deleted the partnership and recreated it. I also recreated the Outlook
profile as well. I also downloaded and installed ActiveSync 4.1, all to no
avail, still gives the error and I see no files in the folder, hidden or
otherwise.

Michael,

If the error message is appearing with respect to Files, then the Outlook
profile shouldn't be the cause. You could try renaming the My Documents
folder on your device. Upon the next sync, it should create a new My
documents folder on your device. Check if it throws the error message.
