I have a iPAQ 5550 with Activesync 3.7.1 on the desk-top. This iPAQ is a
replacement for one that had a hardware problem 3 weeks after purchase.

After restoring backup from SD card on the iPAQ, and then synchronising to
the Activesync folder, this error message appears: 'unresoved item'. In the
drop down files that Activesync synchronises it is a problem relating in the
'Inbox'. I have followed the help files and changed the 'rules' in the
'options', and have looked in the program settings for changing 'device to
desktop' and 'desktop to device' conversions and find nil amiss. The desktop
and pocket PC work fine other than the annoying unresolved item cropping up
everytime.

This is a replacement iPAQ. Hard reset did not fix the problem. Activesync
uninstalled and then reinstalled did not fix the issue. The latter did ask
for another Activesync folder and the default was already in use. On
restoring from previous backup the new folder did not get used and hence was
deleted.

Is there a solution to this problem?

George K

Hello George,

Try running Detect & Repair available under the Help Menu of Outlook to
repair the pst file. If that doesn't help, then you might want to take a
closer look at the mail with attachments. In Outlook create a new folder,
select all the mails (CTRL + A) and move all the mails to the new folder.
Next move say 3 mails at a time and then synchronize. Start with the most
recent ones. This way you can isolate the mail that is causing the problem
and delete it.
