Hello,

I am using AS 3.7.1 with Outlook 2003. I have an ActiveSync mail item that
cannot be opened, moved, deleted or replied to. The Today screen shows
'ActiveSync: 1 Unread Message', however I cannot delete this message.

The message does not exist on the PC, and I have tried to deleting the
partnership and starting again using the Wizard. The Accounts > Clear
ActiveSync command is disabled so I cannot do that.

Any ideas on how I can delete the message that refuses to be deleted?

Regards,
Betty.

Hi Betty,

Could you try syncing after unchecking the Inbox under Tools -> Options in
Activesync, then check the Inbox and proceed to sync. Post back your
results.

Hello Raj,

Thanks for your reply. I went into AS and unchecked the Inbox as you
recommended. I then performed a sync with no results. I then rechecked the
Inbox and synced, with no success.

Do you know is there anyway you can manually delete a Folder list (or
database file) to remove the reference to the mystery email?

Thanks,
Betty.

Hi Betty,

Yes, I think I have found a work around to find the offending mail but it
involves a fair bit of work and will need attention to detail. If you want
to give it a try I suggest you drop me a mail. Or else give me a few days,
I will try to write it all and post it here.

Hello Raj,

I am happy to wait for you to post it, that way anyone else who experiences
a similar issue may benefit. If you would rather use direct e-mail let me
know.

Thanks,
Betty.
