Athena should work over a network connection that supports TCP, which the
network connection that AS4.x builds should do (I just did a quick test of
communicating with a random TCP port on the host computer from a device
connected with AS and it works fine). I don't think that AS3.x will do
this, but perhaps, since the system isn't installed yet, you'll use new
devices?
