I bought a new MDA Compact IV (aka HTC Touch Diamond). If I try to
synchronize my calendar, tasks and contacts with WMDC 6.1 on Vista, I get
always the error 0x85010014. I tried all tips I found in the net (repairing
Outlook, deleting profiles, reinstalling, unclicking advanced USB
connection). But nothing solved the problem.

Concurrently I can synchronize from the same machine my data with an older
device (with Windows Mobile 2003). Therefore I do not think that it is a
problem on the client.

Has anyone an idea?
Markus

Hello,

Are you synchronizing your PIM data with your PC or are you doing it
over-the-air with your Exchange server?

If you are synchronizing with your PC, I recommend deleting the partership
on your PC, soft reset your device, then connect and recreate the
partnership. This will force a re-write of all of your PIM data on your
device.

if you are doing OTA sync with Exchange, verify that you do not need a
certificate from your Exchange administrator to get things working. This
error can be caused by a cert issue.

This error usually indicates a problem with Outlook. I see that you already
uninstalled and re-installed Outlook. However you did not mention anything
about WMDC. It is recommended to install Outlook first, then WMDC. Therefore,
if you uninstall Outlook, you also need to remove WMDC.
