activesync shows too many inbox entries

When I sync my Dell X5, the number of items shown in
Activesync is far greater than what is actually in my
inbox. None of the subfolders are checked for sync'ing.
McAfee keeps popping up virus warnings in attachments, but
these junk mails have all been deleted and cleared. The
McAfee warning points to files in the activesync folder on
my desktop but when I look they are not there. I have
scanned my PC and run Ad-aware.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Claudio Martin
